The Oak family’s best-known and only feral representative in the wild in Finland is English oak, although around the world genus Quercus, which the species belongs to, is the largest in its family with 600 species. The name genus Fagus has around 10 species. Altogether the Oak family is comprised of around 1,100 species in 8 genera.
